News of the DVV Disinfection Committee:

1.      On the basis of the experience gained in applying the DVV/RKI guideline 2005, a clarification and additional requirements was required, eg regarding the chemothermal disinfection. Therefore, the revised guideline was re-published in August 2008 (Bundesgesundheitsblatt, 2008, 51, 937-945 and Medicine & Hygiene; 2008, 33, 315-322). Since no relevant changes have been done, test results which were compiled on the basis of the guideline in 2005 and 2008 shall be considered as equal.

2.      Meanwhile the revised DVV/RKI-Guideline (published in August 2008) has been translated into English (see link to PDF)
